High Blood Pressure Symptoms

When someone is said to have High Blood Pressure it means that the pressure of blood in the blood vessels is higher than normal. This happens when the large blood vessels become stiff and the smaller vessels become narrow. Fat in the blood can lodge on the inside of blood vessels causing them to narrow and harden. This puts a strain on the blood vessels and the heart, making it work harder to keep the blood circulating around the body. Your BP changes naturally through the day, going up and down, depending on your emotions and your level of activity. If you have high blood pressure, your BP will remain high all the time, even when you are resting.
